MAHOGANEE AMIGER

Mahoganee is a Gullah/Geechee interdisciplinary artist from the Coastal Carolinas whose creative work spans music, writing, photography, and mixed media. Known as “Da Sea Island Songbird,” she blends Jazz, Funk, Blues, Hip-Hop, and West African and Caribbean influences to create a powerful form of vocal storytelling rooted in Black southern traditions. As co-founder and Executive Director of Responsible ARTistry, Inc., Mahoganee uses art as a tool for empowerment, cultural preservation, and environmental stewardship. A Certified Teaching Artist and Leo Twiggs Arts Leadership Scholar, she is also a 2023 Riley Fellow and member of the 2024 Culture of Health Leaders Institute for Racial Healing cohort.
