DESEREE CAIN-ARZU
Deseree Cain-Arzu joined the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in 2016 and has since led efforts to elevate the organization’s public profile locally, regionally, and internationally. As Communications Coordinator, she has managed media outreach, authored numerous articles, and supported initiatives like the award-winning Punta Fuego radio drama and the Fish Right Eat Right campaign. With nearly two decades of experience in Belize’s media industry and previous work in public relations at the Public Utilities Commission, Deseree brings deep expertise in communications and advocacy. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Belize and an M.S. in Communications and Media Technologies from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Passionate about conservation, she champions the idea that protecting Belize’s natural resources is a shared national responsibility.
